CITY OF ANSONIA, CONNECTICUT

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Ansonia. Office of Town and City Clerk, 253 Main Street, Ansonia, CT 06401, until 11:00 a.m., on August 11, 2015, when they will be publicly opened and read aloud for:
FARREL BOULEVARD ACCESS ROAD FOR FOUNTAIN LAKE COMMERCE CENTER
The Access road will require the construction of 1,100 +- LF with all the City utilities – sewer, storm and sanitary, private utilities may include water, gas, telephone and cable as noted on the plans. The activities will also include permits for the required activities have been or are being obtained. The road will be constructed to City of Ansonia’s specifications and standards. The project will be subject to bidding and award requirements of the Federal EDA and City of Ansonia.
Copies of the Contract Documents may be purchased starting on July 13, 2015 from the City of Ansonia, Office of the Town and City Clerk, 253 Main Street, Ansonia, CT 06401 (Monday-Thursday) 8:30 a.m. – 4:30pmp.m and (Friday 9:00 a.m. – 1pm). A non-refundable fee of One-Hundred Dollars ($100), in the form of a company check, bank check or money order, payable to the City of Ansonia, will be required for each set of Contract Documents.
Bids submitted should be in a sealed envelope and labeled with the name and address of the Bidder, the date and time of the Bid opening and the words “Bid for the Farrel Boulevard Access Road Fountain Lake Commerce Center”.
The minimum rates to be paid labor of the various classifications on this project shall be in accordance with current schedule of Prevailing Wages as established by the State of Connecticut, Department of Labor, Wage and Workplace Standards Division and with the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations. Surety Company Bond, on a form furnished in the Contract Documents, for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount
of the total of the (Sum of Base Bid and Add-Alternate Bid), must accompany each proposal. The City of Ansonia
reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in bidding if it is
determined to be in the best interest of the City of Ansonia.
Bids may be held by the City of Ansonia for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.
